After the birth of my second child, I decided to take advantage of running my own company and took time out to raise my children. It was a busy time between childcare; relocating our family from west London to the country and learning new DIY skills. During this time I undertook some training and volunteering with Code Club (a nationwide network of free volunteer-led after school coding clubs).

I had a combined programme management contract role, comprising of:► Deployment of Vodafone Global Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution for Vodafone Italy► Management of a Vodafone service (CPE) from product design into a workable solution to allow for full global deployment. ► Both programme team's were based across Europe

Uk

I was the programme manager of a major strategic business improvement programme sponsored by the Group Finance Operations Director. ► Programme objectives to improve the operation of key business processes via streamlining the system operations with new technology developments, including moving specific business functions from a European back office to an Asian back office► Key programme areas included process re-engineering; new focused training; new focused communications; post-implementation activities to improve end user experience and maximise business benefits► Programme deployed internationally across 2 continents (4 countries), and directly impacting up to 10,000 employees with back offices in primarily Hungary and India

Uk & Global (Uk, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Hungary, India)

This was a strategic change programme in Vodafone where I enjoyed being the sole implementation manager within the Supply Chain function (a global function across all of Vodafone). ►The role involved managing two major concurrent roll-outs; one across the largest Vodafone operating company (Vodafone UK) and the other the parent and controlling company (Vodafone Group), with locations across UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy and US.► Manage of business improvement work-stream for Vodafone Group (both business transformation & SAP technology implementation).► Manage business experts to ensure Vodafone's legal, regulatory & business requirements in each of the countries were adhered to while aligning to the global requirements & strategy.► Manage all business related activities in the relevant domain & ensure support of the System Integrator & Implementation teams.► Manage moving back office functions from UK to Hungary and later to India► Manage design phase (including fit-gap process workshops & the output into the design; leading process design team)► Manage local teams to deploy all necessary data migration activities► Manage testing phase► Programme's deployed internationally across 2 continents (7 countries), and directly impacting up to 20,000 employees

In this role I played a key role in implementing organisational and business change in two specific countries of business for Vodafone. The first Portugal was a developed business model and the other Romania, was a developing model in a relatively immature market. Key areas I was responsible for were:► Implementing new supply chain business model within local operating company► Run necessary workshops to ensure local compliance & agreement ► Managing key stakeholder relationships between Vodafone Group and the local operating companies to ensure a successful outcome and change. This ranged from executive stakeholders through to end users.

This was a particularly interesting role as it was the start-up of a new Vodafone company (a global procurement company in Luxembourg). My role was as the Process Specialist/Lead for supply chain in this start-up. Areas of my remit were:► Design new business model within supply chain, working very closely with other business areas such as finance, HR, IT, legal.► Implement new business model across the new business teams in dual locations (Luxembourg and Hungary)► Promote & educate all Vodafone operating companies globally on new business model to ensure full global compliance
