From early advice to 'do something you love', the common thread between my experiences is a passion for supporting individuals and teams to achieve their goals in an efficient and quality-focused manner. This focus, combined with a flexible and positive attitude, has enabled me to be successful in a variety of fields as I have walked the path of a military and state department spouse with the excitement and upheaval that such a life entails.I loved communication, cultures and travel, so I studied languages and wound up working on a vineyard-orchard in SW France. I relished working in the markets, connecting with consumers to sell them just what they wanted! From the wine side, my 'get on with it' attitude saw me helping with every facet of vineyard work, from agricultural to commerce. I moved to SE France to teach in a vocational school, then to Okinawa to teach in rural elementary and middle schools, then to Hawaii to teach in a higher education school. I appreciated everything, from the most disengaged, challenging student to the ability to make a life-long impact on someone's life. I also made the most of backpacking in 3 continents to start a personal goal of keeping life in perspective.Next, the Midwest and Medical Device industry beckoned and I developed a true passion for data-mining, improving processes, understanding regulations and applying product knowledge to get/keep life-saving devices available in the US and abroad. After medical devices, I moved to Mexico for an invaluable focus on family and the chance to learn a fourth language and culture. And from Mexico, here to Colorado to open a run-specialty business. As Controller, I oversaw the development and sale of two successful businesses with multiple revenue streams. With a desire to finally put down roots, I have stayed in Colorado and enjoyed supporting the oversight, development and production of pioneering technologies to support our military.I appreciate all the different skills the various jobs in multiple countries have taught me. As long as I keep infusing quality in efficient processes, and having a positive influence on those around me, I'll always find something to love about the work I do.
