Source FETAC: To assist and facilitate providers in the implementation of the external authentication requirements, FETAC has established a panel of quality assured external authenticators who have the expertise and capacity to authenticate assessment results in a range of award areas across the nine fields of learning. FETAC will maintain the panel for an initial period of two years to ensure a quality assured and responsive panel is available to meet the needs of the sector.

The knowledge management specialist is primarily responsible for knowledge base content and accuracy.

The role of technical mentor was introduced within the technical support teams to support technical support agents. Technical mentors are responsible for developing and testing solutions on products while working closely with call centre agents and team leaders. Technical mentors are versed on all products with substantial hands on experience with products and the technologies behind the products. A keen interest in hardware and software combined with essential people skills was required to work in this fast moving environment where solutions and excellent support are key.
