I'm an Assistant Professor at UBC's School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (SPPGA) and an Associate Member of the Geography Department. I use ethnographic and quantitative methods to study how power operates in development policy, with a focus on gender data, social protection, and care work. Recognizing the importance of bridging research and action, I founded a learning program that offers innovative, best-in-class leadership and professional skills training to Gates Cambridge Scholars who aspire to make the world better.
