I am a grants and program professional with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, primarily in the youth development, family services, education and mental health arenas. I hold a PhD in Education from UCLA and have worked as a direct service provider, program director, consultant, grants director, and corporate/foundation grants specialist. In my current position as Chief Program and Grants Officer, I oversee all aspects of institutional fundraising, program strategy and expansion, and grant compliance. I supervise a national program design team and together we develop and refine programmatic theory of change and logic model as well as program standards, curriculum, and policy/procedure. Specific responsibilities include developing proposals for strategic expansion, funder stewardship and communication, ensuring programmatic and fiscal compliance with grant requirements, training youth development staff, and create curriculum, policy and procedure for current and future programming. I thrive in fast-paced environments that value teamwork, creativity and a sense of humor. When I'm not working, I'm usually training for endurance events such as an olympic distance triathlon or century ride, experimenting in the kitchen, or indulging my obsession for all things true crime. Finally, I am the proud mother of a brilliant, creative 21-year-old son who attends college much to far away. Specialties: Strategy development; Proposal writing/editing; Program planning; Donor relations; Corporate/foundation philanthropy; Staff development and training; Program logic models and evaluation, and fiscal/programmatic grant compliance.
