About Tara D. Sanders
My professional focuses are project management, partnership development, and creating clear and documented processes and systems and I love it. Helping organizations find mutually beneficial opportunities and carrying those projects out is something I really enjoy. This has allowed me to support the creation and implementation of programs to scale workforce development opportunities and partnerships for three community colleges and be a part of community transformation. As the partnership liaison between colleges and companies, I've developed symbiotic collaborations including internships, equipment and funds donations, advisory board participation, major events, contextualized curriculum for the trades, and managed a portfolio of 200+ employers. There's always an opportunity to collaborate and meet both party's goals. That partnership experience scaffolded my current focus on designing and implementing systems to manage and scale this work as the Manager for Workforce Development at the Contra Costa Community College District Office (4CD). At 4CD I'm also the federal Perkins Grant Director, supporting the managing, compliance, application, and fiscal reporting of the $1.4M grant across three colleges, where partnership is also key.In addition to my role in higher education, I also own Dále Vino Wine Bar, the first-ever wine bar in Pittsburg, Ca. Employing all under-represented groups, engaging in continuous professional development and supporting educational pursuits, this is one of a handful of black-owned wine bars in the world and strives to support economic mobility for it's staff.Specialties: Partnership Development, Strategic Planning, Systems Alignment, Fundraising, Event Planning/Coordinating, Workforce Development,
