About Tarah Schwartz (She/Her)

At the MUHC Foundation, where I lead a talented team of communications and marketing professionals, we dig deep into the value of philanthropy as a global responsibility. Especially when it comes to our health care. Our current campaign is raising 200 million dollars to end cancer, fix broken hearts, and solve the world’s most complex health care challenges. It takes a village. I also train some of our city's most respected physicians, clinicians and researchers to excel in media interviews and communications. After two decades as a television news reporter and anchor, my love of storytelling infuses everything I do. As a communications, media and marketing enthusiast, I work to help individuals, companies and organizations share who they are, what they do, how they contribute and what they love. I help people become better communicators. That includes individual or group trainings on everything from media interviews, speech giving, panel appearances—whatever is needed to project and deliver your best self. In April 2022, my first book, a memoir, was published by Linda Leith Publishing. "Can't Help Falling, a long road to motherhood" has been a best seller on Amazon and was chosen as a Globe and Mail Mother's Day read for 2022. My hope is that it inspires much-needed conversations around infertility. I speak to organizations and book clubs, hoping to forge a more understanding and compassionate path forward. I also host or MC events, conduct interviews and facilitate panels. You may catch me in the occasional movie or TV show playing a news reporter or news anchor.
