In Stryker I got the opportunity to gain an insight into Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, HR Administration, Data Analysis and Payroll.• Payroll & HR Administration: Independently processed a payroll for employees from start to finish each week. I proved that I was accountable as each week the payroll processed successfully. Took care of all payroll admin for all Stryker sites in Cork which included salary certs and letters of employment. I was the interface between two HR systems, Core HR and Workday. I transferred all information from Workday to the payroll system Core, information such as new hires, rate of pay change, terminations, transfers from a different Stryker entity and any other information needed for payroll. • Recruitment: I screened C.V.s and carried out phone screening interviews for potential candidates for upcoming roles in Stryker and I carried out face to face interviews and decided if they were fit for the role or not.• Employee Relations: I note took for numerous disciplinary and grievances alongside the Human Resource Business Partner which perfected my verbal and written skills. • IT Systems used: Experience using many ERP systems including Core HR, Workday, Compliance wire, Oracle and Payroll One. I used Workday daily, I was also on the team of the integration between Workday and the payroll system Core to align the two.• My responsibilities increased throughout my duration as an intern in Stryker. During my Work placement I held HR/Payroll clinics for leaders and employees to attend if they had any issue or question in relation to either. • Developed my interpersonal skills on work placement as I was dealing with Stryker employees from across the world and in various environments.• I was a member of a Corporate Social Responsibility Team and Stryker Women’s network team• Presented my achievements, challenges, and improvements to the HR department before I returned to college.
