I am a corporate affairs professional with experience in government relations, public affairs, corporate reputation management, and crisis communications. My specialty is building and rebuilding. I have overhauled outdated organizational systems, built stakeholder engagement programs from the ground up, and established new benchmarks to measure program efficacy where none existed. From building a coalition to pass major legislation to establishing a government relations infrastructure, I bring years of experience in consulting to evaluate the situation and assemble the resources needed. When brands have stalled out or need to increase their relevance, I've led major changes in corporate positioning for companies such as J&J, Intel, Wells Fargo, and The Recording Academy. I have led or developed strategies for national and state-based campaigns to support legislative agendas for clients such as Kraft Foods, American Chemistry Council, among others. I've been part of crisis communications teams for product recalls, facility contamination, and personnel issues. In my past three roles, I have served on senior management teams, providing guidance on a range of HR, financial, operational and strategic issues. Earlier in my career, I parlayed personal interest in ethics to pursue graduate studies looking at the theoretical roots underscoring corporate citizenship. I used that knowledge base to fuel my work in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. For the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other public companies, I have developed programs and facilitated multi-sector partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
