CurrentPrivate AdoptionHandles all adoption related records/tracking for CA Adoption Program. Corresponds with prospective families and/or relinquishing birth parents.. Handles email/phone/mail adoption related paperwork to help complete Home Study, Matching, ICPC, Post Placement and quarterly check ins. Maintains case files for families and birth parents ensuring all required records are obtained/complete by time of Adoption Home Study completion. Prepares adoption related paperwork to be dispersed to applicants, matching agencies, attorneys and other agencies as requested. Assists in ICPC process as well as state notification for receipt of verification that child(ren are legally freed for adoption.Background Check SupportHolds a Custodian of Record for Koinonia with the Department of Justice(DOJ). Processes Criminal Offender Record Information from the DOJ for both RFA and Adoption programs. Completes the No Longer Interested process to inform DOJ that subsequent arrest notifications are no longer needed. Ensures correct information is on record with DOJ. Provides follow up on missing clearances, gives training and direction when exemptions are needed, fingerprints are rejected, subsequent arrests are made and criminal hits are obtained. Responsible for completing LIS/AARs checks on RFA applicants, adult residents and regularly present individuals in the homes. Conducts all initial Megan's Law checks on individuals and addresses. for RFA and adoption programs. Provides support and direction to field in obtaining Adam Walsh clearances. Requests all police reports for RFA and adoption programs.Administrative Support & TrainingProvides training and supports to field staff with background check process, Private Adoption Services, use of FAST (Family Agency Tracking Services). Cross-trains to understand basiuc duties of other adoption positions in the office.
