I have worked here for almost 8 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the life lessons and training that I have acquired during my time here. I started out as a lifeguard and with more training and hard work, I was able to further my knowledge with a certification as a Water Safety Instructor, and finally achieved my goal of joining the management staff. As an assistant manager, it is my responsibility to directly manage the day-to-day operations at the pool. It is my duty to maintain the safety of my staff and the patrons who attend the pool; take over, lead, and administer CPR/first aid, etc. in the event of an emergency; address and solve any problems and concerns, whether it is from staff members or patrons; prevent, recognize, and intervene when any hazardous and/or potentially dangerous behaviors occur; help maintain a clean and professional workplace; be an outlet for lifeguards to confide in with personal or work-related issues; watch the lifeguards' scanning techniques and interactions with patrons, intervene when necessary, and give constructive criticism; continuously lead by example and accomplish tasks with the staff; complete performance reviews and staff evaluations; lead staff trainings every two weeks and teach/review important skills such as CPR, first aid, AED, lifeguard rescues and run through scenarios; and completing rotation sheets and keeping records for any incidents at the pool. Lastly, when I am there, it is important to understand that I am responsible for the many lives that walk into that pool--patrons and staff members--and there is a high expectation of me to handle anything that may come my way. Being a manager here has taught me how quickly emergencies can occur, has pushed me to think fast and stay calm when under pressure, and taught me exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.

I was trained in Milpitas for a few months, then was one of the original employees for the Livermore Outlet store. I was a sales associate who was actively on the floor helping customers with picking out handbags, wallets, watches, clothes, etc. for themselves, as well as helping them find gifts for others.I also was in charge of the Small Leather Good I’m the store (wallets, ID card holders, etc.) where I was required to make sure they were not only fully stocked at all times, but also making sure they were displayed in an eye-pleasing, coordinated fashion.
