Establish/manage the new company-wide initiative to document current business practices and data flow• Recommend systems and procedures to improve efficiencies and enhance business processes• Work cross-departmentally using organizational and technical skills/computer programs to analyze current operations of the company• Implement and document new company-wide systems and procedures

Oversee editorial production of five to fifteen books a month• Check and/or edit copy editor’s work, ensuring compliance with house style• Check and implement proofreaders’ work onto master sets of pages• Ensure that all editorial work conforms to The Chicago Manual of Style• Edit and submit catalogue, marketing ad, jacket, and cover copy

We're a small, New York based, entrepreneurial publishing house that has been in business for fifteen+ years. This company began by specializing in the repackaging and distribution of hardcover reprints, licensed from other publishers. Books published under this umbrella are branded with the MJF logo. In 2002, the company branched out and began the production of the B&N Classics line. I work in both the production department, as reprint manager and in the production-editorial department, as coordinator and production editor.
