Rehab Resources coordinates all phases of rehabilitation for worker’s compensation claimants who have suffered an acute medical loss or a catastrophic injury. Working closely with all treatment team providers and payer sources is essential for positive measureable outcomes. Rehab Resources specializes in multiple traumas, amputations, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and complex burns.

Accepted assignments from employer, insurance company, and responsible parties regarding an injured or disabled individual. Assessed the information and determined the individuals health care need to facilitate treatment and a timely return to work. Anticipated the patient's future health care needs and ensured proper mechanisms were in place to meet maximum rehabilitation in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. Managed progress towards the desired outcomes.

EMERGENCY ROOM-Planned, implemented, directed, and evaluated emergency care based on the nursing process. Oriented new employees, chairman of the retention and recruitment committee, planned and coordinated departmental staff meetings, acted in leadership role as charge nurse.EDUCATION-Responsible for orientation of new employees; wrote, conducted, and certified through the appropriate agencies, continuing education programs including Certified Nursing Assistant program.MISSION SERVICES-Planned and coordinated the Parish Nurse Program for lower Harris County and Northern Galveston County sponsored by Christus St. John Hospital.COMMUNITY MOBILE UNIT-Planned and participated in community health care activities including immunizations for children, health screenings, well woman program, and health fairs.

Assessed patients and performed medical record reviews to determine admission criteria and assisted in determining eligibility for care; educated family members as to the types of brain injury care and post acute services available in the community specific to their needs.Worked with professional organizations such as Texas Board of Nursing and Texas Department of Insurance to achieve educational credentialing for twelve different Continuing Education programs for nurses, case managers and/or insurance adjusters.Performed post acute brain injury rehabilitation marketing and sales coordination for the Texas and Louisiana markets.
