Supporting arts organizations, charities, networks and coalitions achieve their goals through policy-advocacy, public funding and government relations.

As a Director with the Global Public Affairs Cultural Industries team, I provided federal advocacy and government relations services to the creative industries and the nonprofit sector. Including: strategic policy planning, monitoring, research, communications, and event and coalition coordination.

The Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN) is the provincial network for the approximately 55,000 nonprofit organizations across Ontario. As a 7,000-strong provincial network, with a volunteer base of 300 sector leaders, ONN brings the diverse voices of the sector to government, funders and business to create and influence systemic change.

With the support of Ontario's EnAbling Change Program, we committed to the promotion of accessibility for Ontario's nonprofit sector. In 2015 and 2016, we worked with the sector to share resources to help integrate accessibility into the culture and operations of the sector. The project included a collection of tools and practices, nonprofit case studies, training and more.

In September 2013, Canadian Artists’ Representation/Le Front des artistes canadiens (CARFAC) Ontario completed extensive consultations and surveys throughout Ontario that determined there was a need for codes of practice in specific subject areas relating to the visual, media and craft-based arts sectors, including the donation of artworks from artists for fundraising purposes and the professional relationship between artists and public galleries. I authored two toolkits, both of which are written for artists and organizations, called "Artists, Public Galleries and Exhibitors" and "Artists and Charitable Fundraising Events."

Writer for the quarterly member newsletter, DISPATCH. Topics included: municipal cultural planning, banking for cultural workers, charitable fundraisers, infrastructure for artists, and advocacy.

Over 2015 and 2016, we led community consultations and engaged an advisory in the vision and planning of this new centre. The Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre is a part of Humber College's new Welcome Centre at the corner of Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Kipling Ave. in Toronto. Through arts, culture, and storytelling, the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre is a heritage space around themes of education, mental health, aboriginal history, and environmental sustainability. This free and accessible public space includes interactive activities, archival materials, and contemporary art.

The Humber Gallery and Collection provides creative programming and access to artwork for Humber College and the surrounding neighbourhoods, ultimately empowering each and every student (regardless of area of study) in their pursuit of creative learning. The gallery and collection aims to enhance Humber College as a cultural hub and, foster connections between the arts and experiential education.

ARTSIDEOUT (ASO) is a one-day, multidisciplinary arts event held at the University of Toronto Scarborough on October 3rd, 2013. The responsibilities of the Artistic Director included design and maintaining the integrity of ASO's mission and vision, recruiting and hiring the year's executive team, planning and evaluations for and with staff members and stakeholders, and coordinating all operations and programming for the visual arts component of the event.

Gallery 1265's mission is to foster the growth of the arts on the UTSC Campus by providing dedicated exhibition space for the presentation of contemporary artwork in all media produced and/or curated by UTSC students.
