The mission of Arkansas Climate League is to "empower Arkansans through engagement, education, and encouragement to become better advocates for climate action through equitable energy solutions." I help plan, organize, and deliver key special events, including documentation for the CEIP round three application. My role is meant to help develop media content, including videos, photos, and flyers, and document meetings while contributing to the organization's Leadership Team.

Developed plans, reachedout to state politicians, arranged DC meetings, and met with state legislative staff to discuss universal school meals and food educators in schools.

As a case manager, I was responsible for a caseload of approximately 300 households, including those housed and those searching for housing. I navigated through various HUD programs, including Mainstream Housing Choice Vouchers; Housing Choice Vouchers; and Project Based Vouchers. My capacity as a case manager included running amendments to cases for annual recertifications as well as for household income and or family composition changes. This role requires a good understanding of HUD rules and regulations. As well, the role is improved with an in depth knowledge of the policies behind HUD rules and regulations; I enjoyed learning how the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) becomes administered once policies are adopted by a housing authority.

Club Z at Sweet House is new startup program for LGBTQIA youth in the River Valley. Club Z's mission is "provide a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth where they can feel supported by their community in the River Valley. Our environment is a drug and alcohol free space for the LGBTQIA+ community to learn, grow, and understand themselves and each other."As a volunteer staff I helped with program development and created supporting documentation to create program sustainability, such as the program's bylaws, volunteer role descriptions, and grant writing.

FoodCorps is an AmeriCorps program with the mission of building a school-wide culture of health. The program focuses educating students within the school gardens, cafeterias, and classrooms.

Using an online platform, I connect with Chinese students in one-to-one classrooms. Younger students learn vocabulary and sentence structures though acquisition methods. Older students review grammar rules, vocabulary, and enhance conversation skills.

I began my experience as a substitute with SubTeach USA before their transition to ESS. Originally, I substituted at schools in the River Valley and moved to Northwest Arkansas where I substituted for the Fayetteville School District. In November 2018 I took a long term substitute position at Fayetteville ALLPS School of Innovation in their ESL classroom when a teacher had an unexpected leave. This position I completed in March 2019. I planned and taught lessons in her classes. I fulfilled the needs of her students as their Advisory Teacher, learning how to do high school credit checks for graduation; communicating and logging communications with students as well as their parents; and advising them on how to complete their high school education. This was a great experience learning about the role of a teacher in alternative education as well as a meaningful one for me as I witnessed how much care is given to students by faculty and staff in this setting.
