After graduating with a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering from Swansea University I decided to continue my studies and expand my knowledge and skills within engineering by starting a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University. I am now awaiting the result from my dissertation and am actively applying for graduate roles in engineering.I enjoy using CAD, I have experience using Solidworks and using FEA to optimise designs through multiple group design projects, designing 3D printed RC cars and human powered street sweepers. I have solid experience using ANSYS from my dissertation "Heat transfer evaluation from mountain bike disk brakes using CFD". Learning ANSYS was frustrating at the start, but after a while of figuring out how to setup the project properly, I realised just how powerful and useful ANSYS can be for engineering applications. I have a keen interest in renewable energy, specifically wind and tidal power. I have recently completed my MSc dissertation “Characterization of flow around a floating tidal energy platform”.As an AMIMechE (Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers), I am proud to be part of a prestigious professional organization that represents excellence in mechanical engineering. With a solid foundation in engineering principles and a commitment to continuous learning, my AMIMechE membership signifies my dedication to staying at the forefront of industry advancements. I am passionate about leveraging my skills and expertise to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the advancement of the mechanical engineering field. I’m excited for what the future brings after completing the masters degree in 2023 and I look forward to becoming a competent engineer.
