EngineerNational Research Nuclear University Mephi May 2010 - Oct 2013Moscow, Russian FederationThe PhD thesis preparation on topic:New types of THz and narrow-band X-ray sources using the high brightness electron beams.The main idea of the PhD is applying of the LINACs to irradiate different types of targets to acquire the specific radiation types.The main PhD thesis works were:- Investigation of the electron dynamics in LINACs and in diamond crystal target;- Design of the RF structures of the accelerators,- Investigation of the THz radiation and X-ray radiation parameters;- Design of the THz band horn directional antennas;- Monte-Carlo simulation of the X-ray radiation doses absorbed by patient.Development of the LINACs for sterilization application for CORAD Company (http://www.corad.pro/).Two accelerating structures were calculated: 2 MeV/2 kW and 10 MeV/20 kW LINACs.10 MeV structure was manufactured and shipped to Korea.My responsibilities were:- Lead the development of the LINACs RF structures;- Development of the RF accelerating cavities 3D models;- Prepare the construction models;- Measure the RF characteristics of the cavities;- Calculate the electrical and magnetic fields in the electron gun.
