Tara Shadzi has been mixing drinks for nearly twenty years, and has never looked back. Training with acclaimed bar chefs such as Tony Abou-Ganim (Iron Chef), Dale DeGroff (Rainbow Room, NYC), and John Lamar (The Florida Room, Miami) inspired Tara to master the craft of the cocktail. In 2009, Tara won the Damrak Gin LA cocktail competition for her Rosemary, Sauvignon Blanc, Ouzo, lemon, and gin martini. Judged by LA Times Food critics, Tara was sent to Amsterdam to attend the Bols Bartending Academy. She was also featured in a recent AP article. “Oscar Inspired cocktails” as a bartender with her bourbon, rose, and elderflower confection, as well as a article for Esquire magazine's "Bartender Wisdom." Tara presented at, “Taste of Beverly Hills” as a featured drink master. She is a member of "Sporting Life," where the best of the LA bartending community meets to innovate new cocktails and ideas. Tara is passionate about wine and is a 2nd level Sommelier certified through the National Sommelier Guild. She continues to mix cocktails, and manage the Bar at celebrity hot spot BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood.
