I am a professional machine learning engineer specializing in complex deep learning models and all the surrounding infrastructure that goes along with that. I started being interested in the field sometime in early 2016, and after seeing what people were able to do I was hooked. I was studying computer engineering and physics at my university at the time, and although the background in high-level math and engineering principles definitely were helpful in being able to understand the field on a deep level as I learned, I definitely became more interested in pursuing machine learning than anything else. This led to me opening up a software company after winning a startup completion at my university with a friend of mine, and developed my first professional project, which I ran for about a year and although I saw mild success, it wasn't the next Uber by any stretch, but the experience was invaluable in my professional and personal development. From there, I kept learning voraciously, eventually becoming a freelancer where I've had the opportunity to develop various highly complex projects for different clients.
