I strive to provide the best patient care by using evidence-based practice and treating others how they want to be treated. I excel in gathering pertinent data and sharing it with my nursing team to achieve optimal results in caring for the neonatal population. My goal is to provide developmentally appropriate care for neonates of all gestations and to empower their families throughout hospitalization and after discharge!I am constantly seeking new knowledge in the field of neonatology that I can apply in my nursing career and share with my colleagues. I enjoy providing supervision over nursing care and staff guidance to ensure the best patient outcomes.I became a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse in 2008 and fell in love with the specialty! Over the next twelve years, I worked as a NICU staff nurse (including three years of travel nursing) in nine different NICUs all over the country. I spent a few years during this time as a primary charge nurse in the unit. During the past two years, I have served as the RN Systems Specialist focusing on neonatal care provided at Washington Regional Medical Center. In this position, I gather unit-specific data, analyze care outcomes, and develop and implement performance improvement programs to maintain the highest standard of care. Certifications Include: ACLS, BLS, NRP, RNC-NIC, STABLE
