As a writer, project manager, and event planner, I have experience in the fields of food, travel, publishing, nonprofit management, and environmental consulting. I have written and edited articles for print and online magazines, newsletters, newspapers, and technical reports as well as press releases and content for websites. Whether the subject is hazardous waste or celiac disease, I am comfortable and familiar writing about technical issues for non-technical publication. I am a travel blogger and author of a book on European travel in the 1950s. I have managed a successful Kickstarter, solicited ads and donations, created templates and procedures, trained staff and reviewed and edited articles and reports, including over 700 environmental reports while working as an environmental consultant and project manager for EPA. I have organized and coordinated events from intimate supper clubs to informational seminars to 300-person events. I am passionate about travel (48 states, 15 countries, and 5 continents), gluten-free cooking (24+ years), and the outdoors (hiking, bicycling, kayaking). I love people and learning about different cultures and places. I love to read, to write, to photograph, and to share what I've learned and experienced. On the weekends you can find me riding my bike to a local farmers market, kayaking, or baking something gluten free.
