I lead NIJC's communications team as we develop and execute multiplatform strategies and content to tell stories about the need for fair and humane immigration laws, and collaborate with people who are directly impacted to share their stories. I also research, write, and edit reports, press releases, and op eds; administer the NIJC website (immigrantjustice.org); manage the production of videos and other multimedia projects; and oversee outreach to 45,000+ email list subscribers and a social media audience of more than 60,000. I helped launch and co-authored the inaugural reports for NIJC's Immigration Detention Transparency and Human Rights Project (immigrantjustice.org/transparencyandhumanrights), which monitors the Department of Homeland Security's immigration detention and enforcement system through analysis of documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act.
