Health And Well-BeingCareer Break Apr 2023 - Apr 2024I experienced a heart/cardiovascular event which landed me in the hospital for a week in January 2023. Later that spring, I realized I probably went back to work too quickly. I was removed from a team and the project I was assigned to was cancelled prior to the original close date by about 5 months. Within a month of my departure from that role, my grandmother who helped raise me became ill. Less than a month later, she passed away and I spent that time working with my mother to ensure my grandmother's wishes and expectations after 102 years of a full life were respected and appreciated. My mother is retired and her well being became a priority for me as well as my children.I began to ensure I made time for my mother and finished writing my first book which discusses managing health and wellness as a daily living regimen. It also touches on self awareness, surviving sexual assault as well as open heart surgery, and living life to the fullest through faith and love of family. I anticipate a publication date of May 2024 after which time I seek to either gain full time employment or return to IT Project Management consulting through direct hire or remote work.
