Crafted the global User Experience and Creative strategy for Quidsi’s (an Amazon subsidiary) portfolio for ten vertically focused eCommerce brands (Diapers.com, Soap.com, Wag.com, etc.). Built and mentored team of 40+ talented professionals across multiple disciplines including; UX design, product design, creative direction, production, copywriting, photography and research. Ensured human-centered thinking and design excellence across all areas of the organization through exceptional partnerships with Marketing and Tech teams. Delivered joy and delight to busy families through engaging experiences, intuitive products and outstanding design quality. Launched nine of the 10 eCommerce verticals during my tenure.

Translated business strategy into a global UX and design strategy for Quidsi’s fast-growing and multi-site ecommerce portfolio. Owned front-end UX and design for 4 unique brands including Diapers.com. Scaled teams to autonomously direct, design and produce all creative for the company as well the visual and functional specs for all web and mobile products. Built in-house expertise to design three new ecommerce brands per year and successfully launched Wag.com, YoYo.com and Casa.com between July 2011 and Feb 2012. Collaborated with teams to evolve organizational structure and processes in an effort to create more management opportunities, improve workflows and protect design integrity in high demand environment. Innovated on behalf of busy families and launched several customer-centric products including; Easy-Reorder, Auto-Ship, Pet Med Prescriptions, points-based loyalty programs, contextual offers and coupons, quick-find widgets, personalization, recommendations as well as new cart functionality specific to exclusive partnerships with Method and Allure. Gross sales grew from approx. $300M to $550M per year. Developed in-house launch team and eliminated the need for external agencies which resulted in an annual savings of $600K and reduced our overall site launch timeline from 6 months to 3.5 months per site. Quidsi was acquired in 2011 by Amazon.com.

The first in-house design hire. Owned product design and visual design for Diapers.com. Partnered with marketing, merchandising and tech to lead the launch of a re-branded Diapers.com, a Baby Registry and two entirely new ecommerce sites, Soap.com and BeautyBar.com. Owned concept to completion deliverables including requirements gathering, creative briefs, high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, functional specs, QA testing, visual design, branding and marketing campaigns. Oversaw all aspects of project to ensure that everything from logo design to product design was choiceful and consistently on-brand. Grew team to 8 people strong. During this time, gross sales grew from approx. $90M to $300M per year. Named one of Internet Retailers “Hot 100” for several years and ranked #35 in Inc. 500 in 2009.

Founded a high-end, full service boutique design and branding agency with a focus on women-owned businesses and companies serving women. Offered comprehensive services to define identity and marketplace positioning, design and rollout branding and CX strategy and provide long term advertising and creative support. Specific services include logo design, website design, advertising, photography, illustration, event and space planning, research and consulting. Diapers.com was a client for one year before I joined them as Design Director.
