About Tarcísio Mello

Software development is a work of creation and as such is still treated as something chaotic, without predictability. Often the thinking of development teams is that customers (internal or external) have to simply accept this. But the world has changed a lot. My mission has been to make this whole process more transparent, more organized, more predictable, more productive and efficient.To achieve this goal, I seek to combine my practical experience in all stages of the development cycle, common sense, good written and oral communication and the use of tools. I am an enthusiast of agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban, combined with lean thoughts, seeking simplicity and efficiency. These frameworks, once inserted within the context of the company, provide the direction to the process organization and to see thart the changes as intrinsic. The creation of metrics (based on the OKR concept) is fundamental to give transparency to the improvements points. The development team needs to be engaged in the projects so they know why they are working on it. The customer and other areas of the company must have information by sharing real and honest data about the progress of the activities.Finally, I seek to encourage the use of prototyping and the constant involvement of customers (internal or external) in order to obtain specifications and products that are really adherent to the needs, avoiding to spend time, effort and money on products that will not be used or will not bring the results expected.

Contribution to the mapping of the development process, as audited, in the implementation of ISO certification.In addition to management role, functionally I also act as Product Owner and Product Manager of Hexagon Agriculture's planning and optimization products (Renovation and Expansion, Planting, Operations, Support Logistics, Harvesting and Transportation) and the AgrOn platform (Harvesting, Planting, Preparation , Vinasse, Support Fleet, Monitoring).
