As a research and learning project into the success factors, sustainability, and scalability of the innovative "Hospitality Industry Welcomes Refugee Employment-linked Sponsorship" (HIRES) project, my experience at World University Services of Canada (WUSC) for the RE-HIRES project was both challenging and rewarding. I designed and developed research tools, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs), and improved the HIRES Performance Measurement Framework, monitoring and evaluation plan, and key research questions. This framework aims to contribute to systemic change within Canada's refugee settlement infrastructure and to broaden options and increase numbers for refugee protection in Canada to meet current and future labour market demands.To build a strong evidence base to promote the use of workplace-led refugee sponsorship to increase Canadian employers' engagement in the economic integration of refugees, I implemented quantitative and statistical analysis to present insights and trends to stakeholders using Google Data Studio, connecting various data sources, creating interactive dashboards, and customizing the design and layout of my reports. I have a strong understanding and proficiency in using filters and parameters to enable users to explore and drill down into the data to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying patterns. Additionally, I conducted environmental scans of relevant policies, programs, and industry contexts to identify and assess opportunities to scale workplace-led refugee sponsorship to new sectors, geographies, and employers. Overall, my work at WUSC has provided me with valuable experience and skills in research, monitoring and evaluation, and data visualization, all of which contribute to creating positive and lasting change in Canada's refugee settlement infrastructure.

As a Settlement Advisor at KEYS Job Centre, I successfully advocated for 195 refugees from 17 developing countries, providing them with individualized support to achieve economic and social integration into their new community. In addition, I developed M&E Logical Frameworks and matrixes, tools, and formats for the Newcomer Settlement Program, which helped present conclusions to the public, staff, partners, and donors and predictions to the leadership team that guided decision-making.Using my skills in data analysis and management, I developed a case management reporting system using Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, and MS Forms. This system was used to address refugee needs, statistically measure project progress, generate reports to the IRCC, and measure the indicators of newcomers' integration. I also streamlined client case management reports, identified unmet client needs, and generated evidence-based reporting by designing and implementing a data tracking and reporting system to ensure a client-centric approach.As a team player, I fostered relationships with a 6-member team newly funded by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to resettle Government Assisted Refugees in Kingston. This relationship-building led to a team of 15 members supporting over 500 people, including building relationships with civil society and governmental partners. My work at KEYS Job Centre was integral in supporting the successful resettlement of refugees, and I am proud to have contributed to such a meaningful cause.

As a Co-Founder and Executive Director of ARDAQ, I have been responsible for leading and implementing a number of projects with the goal of empowering vulnerable individuals, including internally displaced persons, women, seniors, and people with disabilities, through financial support to establish their own businesses and providing training at every stage of their work. Through the design and implementation of 6 recovery and development projects, I have helped over 5,000 families in vulnerable communities establish or maintain their agricultural businesses and meet the requirements of our donors.One of the standout successes of these projects was our ability to support clients in transforming $35,000 worth of agricultural inputs into $360,000 worth of income, far exceeding project expectations. This was achieved through clear assignment of responsibilities, proactive identification of challenges and swift implementation of solutions. Additionally, I developed M&E tools to track progress and measure the impact of our training programs in agricultural skills and financial management for internally displaced persons and host communities.I also had the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of 40 staff members in providing agricultural inputs and training to support development projects. This led to the creation of research and handbooks that improved start-ups and agriculture in Qunetira. I was also responsible for overseeing the program, financial, and M&E reports on a monthly basis, to maintain funding from donors, increase accountability to the public, and improve performance and decision-making among staff.Finally, I was able to establish a relationship with Mercy Corps, which allowed us to connect with five international donors, such as OFDA, DFID, EU, and others, to support our humanitarian-development project in Syria, despite limited resources. Overall, I am proud of the positive impact we have had on the lives of vulnerable communities.

As a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Madad NGOs, I have been at the forefront of providing humanitarian aid to those in need. I have expertly led over $1.8M in funds to lead humanitarian projects at all levels of the project lifecycle. My expertise in five major fields: Relief, Medicine and Health, Child Education and Psychological support, Human Rights, and Livelihood projects, enabled me to make a meaningful impact on the community.I was able to develop policies that were not only effective but also in line with the standards of International NGOs such as Oxfam, Mercy Corps, Mercy Corps, and others. I developed my strategic planning skills and led a team of volunteers to make a difference in the community.I had the privilege of overseeing the implementation of 2 field hospitals, a maternity clinic, a dental clinic, a pharmacy, and numerous medical points in Syria during a time of intense conflict. I am proud to say that my efforts were successful in saving thousands of lives by providing care and treatment for minor to advanced injuries. I have also been able to design and facilitate numerous data collection activities, and data analysis with community representatives, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to obtain an in-depth understanding of the needs, better planning of the projects, and continuous improvement of the organization. My ability to coordinate large-scale projects is exemplified by my successful charting of the reconstruction of 5 damaged schools, resulting in over 1200 children returning to classes. My commitment to the well-being of children is evident in my efforts to engage with War Child Holland to facilitate over 600 children receiving Social and Psychological support.I also learned how to evaluate our programs and projects in order to ensure they were meeting the needs of the community. All in all, my experience was an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling one.

As the Relief Coordinator at the Syrian Red Crescent in the governorate of Quneitra, I was faced with the daunting task of coordinating the response to an emergency crisis in June 2012 that resulted in over 120,000 internally displaced persons fleeing to Quneitra from Damascus. In this role, I utilized my problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify the most pressing needs of the displaced population and develop effective solutions to address those needs. I also demonstrated strong planning skills as I organized and coordinated the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, including establishing volunteer teams and developing a comprehensive plan to deliver aid to vulnerable communities.In addition to my strong people management skills, I was also responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress of our relief efforts, as well as preparing and issuing reports on the impact of our work. I also played a key role in community outreach, reaching out to donors and fundraising to secure the necessary resources to deliver food baskets, infant formula, shelter, blankets, hygiene kits, medications, and school supplies to more than 8600 families, a total of over 50 thousand individuals, in the second half of 2012. Through my efforts, we were able to provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the crisis and help to alleviate some of the sufferings of those impacted by the displacement.

As a medical book translator, I have had the opportunity to translate two highly specialized and influential books in the field of forensic dentistry. The first book, "Forensic Dental Evidence: An Investigator's Handbook - First Edition," was the first book in forensic dentistry to be translated into Arabic, and I was one of the first five forensic odontologists in Syria. This required a high level of skill in research, as I had to ensure that the content of the translation was accurate and up-to-date. I also utilized my scientific writing skills to effectively convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.In addition to research and writing, my work on the translation also required me to use my expertise in curriculum development to ensure that the content was appropriate for the target audience. My medical translation skills were essential in accurately conveying the content of the original text into Arabic, while my editing and proofreading skills helped to ensure that the final translation was of the highest quality.The second book, "Forensic Dental Evidence: An Investigator's Handbook - Second Edition," was also a bilingual edition and required me to utilize all of these skills to produce a high-quality translation.
