Tarek Rabai is a senior consultant with more than 16 years in project and marketing management mainly in public development and agri-food sector. He has an extensive worldwide experience as he has visited more than 40 countries for different purposes: Business, conferences, consultancies, scholarships, …He started his career as a project manager and a technical consultant for different donors and programs, for instance Tunisian dates traceability system, dates label, pomegranates and oranges protected designation, dates documentary in 9 languages…Then, he has worked as a marketing consultant for 9 years and has contributed to the expansion of Tunisian date export to more than 80 countries and helped tunisian exporters and foreign importers to develop their business mainly in Asia and Europe. He showed a strong attachment to market studies and has conducted several studies about consumers’ behavior and competitions leading to a national strategy to promote date export in Asia and America. He is a freelance consultant in the last two years, who coaches dates and agri-food exporters to build and realize their business plans and assist dates young farmers to get structured and certified.He holds a master’s degree in total quality management and a bachelor’s degree in marketing.In addition to his professional experience, he is very active in his community and a member of various association and NGO’s acting in environment, ecotourism and climate change.He recently was tutored by Mr. Al Gore during the climate reality leadership training and met Mr. Jimmy Carter in Atlanta during the Hubert H Humphrey program.
