Hello All, My name is Tarik Mckelphin. I'm a former student athlete from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, and a minor in Sports Management. I am currently attending Florida Southern College located in Lakeland, Florida, as an undergrad, taking advantage of the covid year that the NCAA granted student athletes with, to get the opportunity to build both my connections and resume, while also getting the chance to play college basketball for one last season. I am eager to contribute to whomever it is I'm working for through the main two skills that I've gained throughout my career, such as hard work and attention to detail. Although I am a quick learner and open to a wide array of occupations, upon the end of semester, I plan to seek employment in the fields of Sales, Social Media Management, Public Relations, technology, Sports Marketing, or any other position in relation to Sports. I've had the privilege this semester to intern for the Sports Communication Department here at Florida Southern College, where I'm learning to use Adobe suites programs such as photoshop and InDesign, and also the video streaming provider, BlueFrame Technology. The field of communication offers a very wide range of opportunity, and having said this, I am going into the job search open minded and willing to expand my knowledge in whatever it is that I am brought to.
