Lead several teams developing and operationalizing the distributed file system, elastic block and object storages as a fully managed scalable services on Kubernetes.Managing technical deliverables with VPs/Directors/PMs/across teams, and promote high performance work culture.Created and lead team on development of Java based remediation engine for software define storage project that processes alerts from Prometheus Alert Manager (API) and analyzed alerts and performed rule based automatic remediation for anomalies detected in scalable storage services. This was later extended to use machine learning to detect anomalies using K-Means and DBScan algorithms (part of this was my capstone project at UC Berkeley AI course).Designed and lead a team to develop object storage's replicated control plane service to managed storage nodes that are part of object storage. Founding member of Software Defined Storage project for core eBay cloud native storage infrastructure on Kubernetes. Designed and developed replicated control plane for elastic block storage. The control plane service consists of Raft state machine replication, cluster manager, API server (with API forwarding, rate limiting using leaky bucket, and security middleware) and optimal data placement.Envisioned, designed and developed the cloud native scalable filesystem managed service (NuShare) for all eBay filer use cases. This managed service in Kubernetes consisted of writing a new control plane, CSI (storage provisioning and orchestration in Kubernetes), Kubernetes controllers, etc.. This service moved all eBay use cases from Ceph FS and NetApp to NuShare.

Worked on hyper-converged distributed storage infrastructure development.

- As a part of the core GPFS (Spectrum storage/Elastic/Object storage) team, I developed several core features on Windows and Linux version of the distributed file system (GPFS) such as snapshots, etc.. Worked on operationalizing GPFS in customer production environment.- Developed several block storage (device mapper), caching, and filesystems related Linux and Windows kernel modules/drivers.- A bit of management/Storage Product management gig (right after MBA graduation).
