Led two engineering teams (10 direct reports in total); a native mobile team (iOS/Android) and a backend team (Java/Spring) that built services and applications for Accesso’s guest experience platform. Acted as scrum master for the backend team. Developed, socialized and implemented an engineering leveling matrix to facilitate career progression. Interviewed, hired, performance reviewed and coached engineers.

Led an agile team of engineers (software and QA) that developed and maintained the Compass iOS application. Collaborated with product and design partners to provide project scoping, status updates, and sign-off of new features. Implemented career growth documents to track individual’s accomplishments and goals quarter to quarter. Interviewed, hired, coached, and promoted engineers. Conducted weekly 1-on-1s to give and receive regular feedback. Organized a virtual team retreat to facilitate team-building and improve morale. Acted as scrum master and oversaw all sprint ceremonies.

Developed and maintained Shift’s internal iPad application. Took ownership of and maintained the deployment process for internal iPad application. Maintained documentation relevant to mobile development company-wide.

Developed and maintained CoStar’s consumer iPhone, iPad and Android applications. Oversaw and executed the development of in-app voice search functionality using Google’s Dialogflow, native speech-to-text APIs, and back- end algorithms for parsing and cleansing spoken text. Built an internal testing tool to support voice search quality analysis using a Ruby on Rails back-end. Interviewed and onboarded new hires.

Developed and maintained Amtrak’s consumer iPhone application (versions 2.0 through 2.5) and Android application (versions 2.3 – 2.5). Created and reviewed code design documentation and requirements. Made maintenance updates to iOS enterprise applications used by Amtrak conductors.

Led iOS development efforts and launched Sawbuck Real Estate (iPhone) HomeSnap (iPhone and iPad). Developed and maintained front-end code base in .NET including all public-facing HTML, CSS, and JS (2009 - 2011). Worked extensively with Google Maps API for all front-end (web) mapping functionality. Assisted in the development and shaping of the web and mobile UI/UX by providing best practices, user feedback and design experience. Participated in the hiring process for all new hires on the development team. Attended WWDC (2012) and SXSW (2012 and 2013) to promote our product and expand our business network.

Developed and maintained internal marketing applications built in PHP and Ruby (on Rails). Deployed Rails applications to a production environment using Capistrano. Converted and enhanced existing PHP applications into more sustainable Ruby on Rails applications. Developed several PDF-generating tools integrated with third-party software (XMPie and InDesign). Developed and enhanced custom Rails plugins to increase code centralization and facilitate maintenance. Developed project management system with SOAP integration.
