Within 3 months of starting the role, I became the Lead Superintendent for Keller's role in the Westridge Marine Terminals ground improvement project, a $70M venture. Owned by Trans Mountain and administered by KLTP, the project consisted of managing a total of about 60 crew members over both day and night shift performing the following activities:- jet grouting (3 rigs total including pumps and batch plants)- pre-drilling / obstruction drilling (1 coring, 1 DTH Hammer, and 1 sonic drill rig)- vibratory densification / stone columns (1 crane + vibratory probe)Responsibilities include:- Safety: ensure work is carried out in accordance to project specific SWP's and the OH&S plan on a project with an extremely high safety standard- Manpower management: scheduling, mentoring, and leading a 60-member crew over both day and night shift- Resource management: inventory, procurement, and receiving of materials, parts, and consumables to ensure project does not experience any downtime to production- Subcontractor management: ensuring subcontractors are scheduled appropriately, perform to expected quality, and adhere to the project specific safety standards- Develop and drive construction schedule, including KPI tracking and 3-week lookahead schedule- Collaborate daily with Project Management, Field Engineers, and Safety Team- Maintain good housekeeping practice both on site as well as with all project records, hard copy and digital

Project teams were structured in a way that team members fulfilled a complete host of responsibilities. Along with the Project Management Team, I managed the daily on-site operations of the project, including:- Safety: leading daily toolbox talks, ensuring daily safety paperwork is completed, and that work is carried out in accordance with relevent SWP's, according to the OH&S plan, and Worksafe BC codes- Quality control: developing and executing QMPs for a variety of civil projects, ensuring adherence to project drawings, municipal codes, and specifications- Schedule management: tracking project schedule in relation to baseline, producing weekly lookahead schedules, managing KPI's- Resource management: inventory control, material procurement, ensuring deliveries are reviewed for quality- Manpower management: Scheduling, time sheets- Project closeout: Ensuring all project documentation (QC, as-built records, client sign-off, etc) is completed and filedProject Portfolio:- JAMES Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4' diameter steel sanitary pipe, Abbotsford, BC - $7M- Maywood St Water Main Upgrade, 4' diameter steel water pipe, Burnaby, BC - $9M- Albion Ferry Dock Demolition, demolition of creosote coated timber dock, Langley, BC - $6.5M

Working with CDI has given me the opportunity to be immersed in all aspects of heavy civil construction - from project procurement and planning all the way through to execution and close-out. Although my official title is Project Coordinator, my role is all-encompassing. As such, some of the functions I am involved in include:• Project Procurement: create complete estimates and bid packages, interpret technical drawings and specifications, correspond with project owners - RFI's, design changes, budgeting, and scheduling.• Legal and Contractual: interpret and execute project contracts and subcontracts. Create pre-construction letters of intent, bid packages, and purchase orders including all legal terms and conditions. • Project Planning: create full project schedules using MS Project, including resource and crew allocation. Create site layout schematics using AutoCAD. Create complete project document organization systems, tracking systems, quality control systems, environmental protection systems, and correspondence protocols. Create site specific environmental, quality, and health and safety procedures.• Project Execution: coordinate mobilization of crew, equipment, and resources, including coordination with owners, suppliers and subcontractors. Create and maintain project tracking schedule and KPI tracking schedule. Track all project progress including productivity, quantities, and deficiencies. Create regular site reports. Perform quality control and assurance, including video inspections. Ensure all changes to design are technically sound, issue site instructions. Ensure environmental and personal health and safety is maintained. Ensure all site security and clearance is enforced.

As the Chair of the School of Energy I was the active liaison between the School of Energy student body (Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, TTED, Trades and Technologies) and BCIT, its executives, and faculty. I was accountable to 6,000 full- and part-time student, and directly managed 47 set representatives and 6 councillors.The ultimate goal pertaining to my position was to enhance student life. During my tenure as chair, I have accomplished the following:• Created the framework for interdisciplinary term projects, allowing students from various programs to work together and learn from one another.• Aided in the promotion and coordination of an alumni mixer event, bringing students in contact with recent graduates in order to answer questions, network, and provide insight into their early careers.• Increased the awareness and involvement of students in a wide array of extra-curricular activities that are available to them by personal involvement, a presentation series, and through media (WEC, CEC, Innovation Challenge, etc.), giving them opportunities to put their learning into practical application.• Created and delivered a set-representative re-training module that was given in the second half of the year, to counter the drop in set-rep performance in the second semester.• Created numerous critical document templates to ease the transition of future incoming Chairs into the position.

As a Project Estimator, my role was to assist in management solutions for heavy-duty civil projects, including: infrastructure, bridges, marine, deep foundations, and related projects. Specifically my duties included: • Estimating, scheduling, contract negotiations, procurement, risk analysis and mitigation, project coordination, development, documentation, submission and implementation of construction methodologies

As a Junior Manufacturing Engineer my role was to assist in overseeing the manufacturing and assembly of new and existing products, assisting the new product team in establishing design constraints, and coming up with more efficient methods for developing existing products.Specific roles included:• Product redesign, manufacturing methodology design, organization and co-ordination of product packaging efforts, support with hands on assembly of prototype production runs, organization of the prototype work area, creation of technical instruction documents, and training of factory personnel.

My tenure at Glentel saw me undergo the following:• Sold wireless cellular solutions to both corporate and personal accounts via face-to-face, overthe phone, and email correspondence, as well as corporate and personal sales pitches, client account maintenance, service and issue resolution, staff training, while reporting bi-weekly to upper management.• Achieved the Glentel President's Club Award (2011) for sales performance and customer focus
