After all, this is high value technology projects and people's careers we're talking about. It's amazing being at the forefront of technology, being plugged in (through all my candidates/clients) into the most advanced progress happening in market. The real benefit to working in this industry is the meta knowledge you accidentally learn about the world: I think it's going to be a real advantage later in life. We recruit for all positions across the full project life cycle. This includes project managers, architects, business and financial analysts, developers, and Production support. We see a successful placement as a win-win-win partnership between client, candidate and recruiter. We pride ourselves on speed, transparency and user experience.

As a sales progressor at one of the biggest online real estate agencies, I was able to bring forward my experience from sales support. I was mainly tasked with negotiating offers, which is all about understanding the needs/preferences of individual clients and vendors, building good trust based rapport with them and then promoting the most equitable solution for both parties. There were some support elements as well, which in truth is not my favourite thing at all! It was helping people to lay out their profile and deal with IT issues (login) - I preferred being on the front line talking to people.

Retail is a great first start for people interested in business because you're literally on the shop floor: you see where the consumer's choice meets the behind the scenes of a business, the logistics, packaging, movement and stocking, etc - everything required for a customer to smoothly walk into a shop and buy a piece of clothing.
