I would describe myself as a determined and self-motivated professional. Who's incredibly ambitious which is shown in the targets I set myself and the personal and professional growth I look to achieve. These self-made targets not only helps my individual progress but also allows me to visualise and celebrate each milestone that I achieve.I thrive in both high-pressure situations and collaborative teaming environments. Due to my strong self discipline and self motivation I frequently find myself inspiring and motivating my peers. On the other side of this, when a project or job requires me to act independently, I take full ownership of my work whilst welcoming constructive criticism as an opportunity to learn and better myself.Due to my nature of looking to continuously improve, I am consistently on the lookout for any new skills and ways to improve the quality of work that I complete as well as add new value to any job role that I find myself in. I hope that by doing this, not only can I help others and refine my own skills. I have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills and something I pride myself on is my problem solving skills. I frequently come up with solutions to problems which may have plagued people continuously in the past and sometimes even unconventional but very effective solutions. At a senior level within my current accounting practice, I effectively manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 50 clients. This role not only showcases my technical proficiency but also demonstrates my commitment to delivering exceptional results in a dynamic and challenging environment as well as meeting deadlines, keeping stakeholders happy and managing myself and those around me where appropriate.Rather than choosing to go to University, I was keener on having a hands on approach and jumping straight into work so I could develop my skills as I believe you learn the most through working. I did however still have a passion for learning so chose to begin studying AAT whilst working via an apprenticeship scheme. After around 5 years of studying, I completed my AAT level 3 & level 4 through Covid and as of recent also achieved my ACCA chartered accountant status. All my exams were passed first time and were sat at the earliest opportunities that were available. This is great evidence showing how driven I am to achieve my goals and how eager I am to learn new things."Diamonds are made under pressure" is a phrase I believe can be applied to my work life and I frequently use to motivate myself.
