I oversee financial reporting and reconciliation of over $34M in revenue, AP, AR, and the primary contact for accounting contracts, vendor setups, unit setups, revenue coordination, and ad hoc queries. Working alongside the Catering and Suites departments, I perform AR, food and beverage credits, and payment processes and reconciliations.Managing a team of 22, including hiring, training, and mentoring, while championing daily shift meetings and monthly departmental meetings.What I have accomplished:- Crafted a Labour Planner for accounting department positions which charted duties and start/end times to utilize and measure time and labour efficiently. - Developed a Gratuity Payout Tracker spreadsheet which helped reduce variances by more than 74% while also improving user experience and efficiency.- Supported front-of-house team in execution of several large functions including the 2020 NHL Hub City, the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, and several Rogers Place Staff events.

I spearheaded external NHL, WHL, and live entertainment sales reporting and credit/cash payment collection totaling over $130K annually and prepare accurate and timely financial management reports and statements regarding sales, labour, and cost of goods. Serving as the main Finance and accounting contact, I support front-line managers on decision making for provision of financial analysis on daily activities and support with POS system reporting and programming.What I have accomplished:- Utilized policy and procedure knowledge to author two Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting department positions and two for concessions department positions

I directed catering department sales and accounting operations including verifying sales contracts, prepared invoices, client communication, invoice tracking, and AR. While ensuring the policies and procedures were adhered to, I managed and overhauled vault operations including event day operation and scheduling.What I have accomplished:- Reduced uncollected AR 99% through creating and implementing Catering Contract Tracking System ensuring contracts were invoiced efficiently, improving turnaround time and billing accuracy.- Designed new Purchase Order (PO) form and created a PO SOP utilized across food and beverage department to monitor and track spending, ensuring invoices from vendors were received and accurately logged. - Conceptualized and implemented Petty Cash Usage Report to appropriately assign expenses for tracking.

I facilitated the full AP process including receiving, verifying, and coding invoices; tracked payment and invoices, and filed invoices electronically and physically. I registered new vendors and maintained and reconciled over 50 vendor accounts to ensure invoices were paid in timely manner and balances remained under 30 days.What I Accomplished:- Saved over $10K by creating and implementing new invoice verification system to confirm validity and accuracy of AP invoices eliminating overpayment and credit errors. - Constructed an AP SOP to accurately collect, process, track and file invoices.

While building meaningful relationships with front-line staff and co-workers to help foster a positive, inclusive, and cooperative work environment, I balanced opening and closing vault counts, arranged end of night deposits, and prepared and reconciled float and gratuity float bags for all Oilers, Oil Kings and Rogers Place events.
