I am working with a large corporation in Columbus, OH developing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan (DRP). The DRP will include enterprise-level and technology-specific recovery policies and procedures, and will cover the following components: DRP Core Crisis Management, Enterprise Network (data center infrastructure, Internet, domain controllers, email server, virtual infrastructure, storage area network, file server), and Enterprise Applications.

• Developed a 100% compliant Business Continuity Program (BCP) by creating BCP templates and plans for the St Petersburg facility and employees. • Trained plan owners and developers in BCP development while reviewing plans with recovery teams. Ensured plans were entered into repository, reviewed and approved. • Developed and facilitated annual drills for recovery teams and Crisis Management Team (CMT) resulting in the awareness and actions to be taken by everyone from top management down to all personnel if an unplanned event occurred.• Developed Disaster Recovery (DR) Program to ensure full business failover in the event of a declared disaster at primary data center. Program made certain customers’ deposits on the Serve, Bluebird or Target pre-paid card platform were protected.• Ensured primary and backup data centers had equivalent capacity and the ability to continue to keep database and storage replication in sync during a DR exercise. • Wrote Standard Operating Procedure to ensure all changes made to data centers were identified and the time frames in which changes were implemented which resulted in keeping platform DR ready. • Planned and facilitated quarterly DR exercises with infrastructure, networking and application owners to ensure applications worked as expected in the DR environment.• Coordinated with 30+ vendors and partners to create documentation for fail over (actual event) and disaster recovery exercise. Results were increased confidence in fail over and notification process. • Facilitated project between Network Engineering and a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) vendor to re-route traffic and forward only good traffic in the event the Amex network should be attacked.
