Tarrick Patrick Bsc (Hons) is a College of Policing Stop Search and Body Worn Video Subject Matter Expert at College of Policing. Colleagues describe them as "Tarrick is an exemplary line manager, motivator and achiever. I've had the pleasure of working under Tarrick's leadership since August 2020, and within this time, Tarrick has successfully landed a number of projects relating to the Force's Stop and Search policy.
Tarrick is passionate about achieving positive change and empowers others to make great things happen. He's extremely knowledgeable and encourages continuous learning.
My journey with Tarrick started as a Citizens in Policing Volunteer, and through successful mentorship and stakeholder engagement/departmental visits arranged by Tarrick, I decided to take on a new challenge and progress my policing journey a little further. As of June 2022, I became a Special Police Constable - and I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Tarrick's dedication to my development.
During my time with Tarrick, I was awarded the Citizens in Policing Volunteer award for 2021." and "Having worked as a mentor for Tarrick I can honestly say that I have never seen a person transition from operational thinking into change management quite as quickly or as effectively, particularly within a policing environment, while maintaining a firm grip over operational proceedings on a day-to-day basis.
Tarrick is quick to pick up concepts, thoughts, frameworks and, most importantly, the practical application of these. He is always open to new ideas and always take feedback in the manner it is intended before going off and working on areas he wishes to improve.
Overall, Tarrick was a pleasure to work with and mentor and whether he wishes to stay in policing in the future or move into a different field altogether, I have no doubt in my mind that he will succeed at anything he puts his energy in to."
