I am currently a sophomore at the College of Wooster, pursing a double major in History and Political Science—with a focus on International Relations. I am also on a Pre-Law track, intending to pursue a future degree in international law. Over the last couple of years, I have participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, including competing in international Model UN Conferences, debate tournaments, and the World Scholars Cup. In the past, I have interned for the acclaimed online newspaper, The Quint, developing news verticals on current affairs for a millennial audience. I have also undertaken independent research concentrated on the history of South Asia, concentrating primarily on the history of conflicts in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Besides my academic interests, I have maintained a passionate interest in raising mental health awareness—enabling me to co-found An Adolescent Voice (AAV). AAV is India’s first online peer-counseling platform, created and maintained by high-school students under the mentorship of medical experts from the Fortis Group of Hospitals. Not only did I aid in establishing a blog, podcast, and social media presence—but also worked with law firm Mathur and Associates to draft a legal disclaimer. Additionally, I undertook the responsibility of formulating a training manual, with phycologists from the Fortis Group of Hospitals and Keshav Suri Foundation (KSF), outlining guidelines for conducting peer-counseling session, developing recruitment practices, as well as referral procedures for severe cases. I possess a background in website creation and online content generation, volunteering with animal shelters—like Posh Foundation Noida— to revamp their online presence. In high school, I also studied subjects like product design and film studies—allowing me to cultivate skills in design and audio-visual communication. I possess intermediate operating knowledge of CAD and CAM design softwares, like Fusion 360—as well as audio and video editing through apps like Audacity, Premier Pro, and Logic Pro. While my interest primarily lies in political and historical research, demonstrated not just by my chosen academic pathway but also my work background; my knowledge of design enables me to communicate through varying mediums. I am additionally proficient not just in English, but also in conversational Hindi and Urdu. I also possess intermediate language skills in Spanish reading and writing, supplemented by two years of education in the International Baccalaureate curriculum. I look forward to connecting with everyone!
