Architect (n): An individual of Passion & Empowerment to alter & improve the as-built environment.Professional interests lie in health care, data centers and educational architecture and fully integrated deliverables that translate to the as-built environment. Strong background in construction, CA, attention to detail, integration of materials and interdisciplinary coordination drive my passion for architecture. Safeguarding against potential issues in construction & the project's life cycle is essential to the core values of this Architect, and the service provided to our clients and end users. In the perpetually evolving realm of construction, materials and building systems, research and development is a continual challenge to our profession. As Architects, we must become intimately familiar with materials and systems we utilize in our designs, interactions or materials, environmental systems, long term performance and to suit the needs and demands of our clients. Drawing from lessons learned throughout tenure, I work to establish & maintain continuity and solid contract documents. Experience includes Healthcare, Data Centers, Educational, Municipal and Detention Architecture and DoD Work. Documentation requirements include Illinois Capital Development Board, NAVFAC Midwest and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's projects.Having construction trade experience prior to Architectural training has granted essential insight absent in contemporary education. Goals of balance, constructability, economy, durability and clear contractual language are passions. With balance, our designs shine; attention to detail, contract vocabulary and material selections support our mainstream goals of longevity, efficiency and sustainability. It's demanding work that requires determination and much more; however, in the end our efforts benefit others well after we are gone. AIA, CSI, CDT, LEED AP
