Tarun Kumar Sinha is an enthusiastic military aviator with 36 years of experience in varied kinds of military operations. He took a leap of faith by changing his course of career from aviation to banking and holds the position of Defence Banking Advisor to Bank of Baroda for Karnataka.As a young aviator, he was involved in Indian Peace Keeping Force operations in Sri Lanka. He is fully operational to instruct in all the roles of the military aeroplane that he has flown. As a flying instructor, he has been a positive influence on the young generation of pilots including first and second women's pilot course. As a Commanding Officer, he was instrumental in enhancing operational preparedness of the base and units he commanded. In a joint military environment at Andaman Nicobar Command, he was instrumental in scaling up jointness in operations. As head of Logistics, Administration and Personnel in unified command, he brought further synergy in the process of management of resources.Being a part of Indian Army Command HQ, he enhanced synergy of air operations with the military objective of the Army.While holding the appointment of Deputy Director General of NCC Rajasthan, he successfully increased the participation of women from 11% to 20%. Through his sustained efforts, he improved the ranking of the directorate by 7 positions.He was selected as the only Air Force Officer for the post of Defence Banking Advisor for Karnataka region as a new vertical of the bank. In last 1 year, he has brought large number of salary accounts and successfully promoted various banking products which witnessed an increase in the revenue of the bank in Karnataka region.
