About Tarun Bhat

Over the course of the last 6 years, I've discovered that:1) Most of the problems that we face in a professional environment can be solved through effective communication. 2) When people are enrolled in the process, it opens up new realms of possibilities. This requires me as a leader to be genuinely interested in the people around me; leadership is not about me, it is about them.3) Simple solutions with careful attention to detail have the ability to solve seemingly complex problems.4) Only when I admit I don't know, the possibility of knowing is immense. To perform, thus, is to act irrespective of my thoughts, feelings, reasons, or considerations.5) To be comfortable in uncomfortable situations is a skill that takes time. Being coachable is crucial in these situations. Everyone needs a coach.- As part of the newly formed Business Excellence team, our focus is to coach and train people in different lean tools as part of the Lean White Belt program, Lean Green Belt program, and Lean Black Belt program. We facilitate multiple kaizen events over the course of the year to drive continuous improvement to make consumer products safely, of the highest quality, in the right quantities, faster, and cheaper. It's very interesting to witness and actively contribute to the cultural transformation of a non-lean organization to a lean organization. - I enjoy working with people from different cross-functional areas, and different cultures, contributing to their growth and development, building capability, and subsequently making a difference in their lives.- I'm currently pursuing MBA with the University of Arizona to further expand myself as a leader and learn the intricate details of working in/running a successful business, irrespective of the scale. If you'd like to connect, feel free to drop a message here or email me at: tarunbhatt23@gmail.com.
