Tarun Jain | Founder & Managing Director DIG - Dubai Institute of Gemology, Arab Design World LLC & WAOD- World Academy of DesignCurrently Founder & Managing Director of Arab Design World LLC , World Academy of Design & Dubai Institute of Gemology, Tarun Jain started his journey in UAE as the Head of Dubai Design Academy, a DMCC (Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre) initiative created to position Dubai as a world-leading center for innovative Jewellery design.Utilizing his deep understanding of the international Jewellery industry and passion for education, Tarun was responsible for shaping the Academy’s design and content.He also liaises with participants, partners and mentors to enhance and accelerate the skills, knowledge and expertise of the professional Jewellers and aspiring entrepreneurs enrolled on the unique program.With over 30 years of experience in the precious stones industry, at both a national and an international level. Prior to joining DMCC in August 2018 to lead and launch the Dubai Design Academy, Tarun held senior positions at the Design Academy of India and AV Exports.An acclaimed Jewellery designer himself, Tarun is a Honorary Director of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS) for UAE, Director of Middle East Region for GJTCI - The Gem & Jewellery Trade Council of India, Elite member of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), ZCM of All India Gem And Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), and Delhi Jewellers Association (DJA).Tarun has been a respected exporter and manufacturer of fine Jewellery, as well as being a qualified gemologist, gem valuer, diamond grader, Jewellery restoration expert, and CAD Jewellery-manufacturing specialist.
