- Collaborate with other Research Assistants under the supervision of Dr. Manisha Gupta, gather related research papers and carry comprehensive literature reviews to stay up to date on the topics of Diabetes and Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and the application of Machine Learning in its diagnosis.- Carryout standardize preprocessing of the Open-Source Diabetic Patient Dataset to eliminate redundant data entries and ensure a coherent presence of meaningful data pertaining to Diabetes.- Train, process and visualize patient dataset to gain meaningful information and meet the objectives of detecting T2DM and DPN.- Document the project and the progress involved in different iterations of our ML models.- Successfully contributed in creating a Proof of Concept of a Machine Learning Algorithm to detect Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy after narrowing down on standard preprocessing techniques and data visualization styles and by feature engineering our dataset to create, train and predict the outcome based on certain threshold values of patient features in the dataset.
