The business is providing 3PL Logistics and Management Services to companies outsourcing their Supply Chain Management requirements for Warehousing & Distribution. The company operates more than 22,000sqm of warehousing across two sites in Port Melbourne. Our major client is Office Works. Operational career includes experience in managing a multi-user site ~22,000+ sqm to multiple sites, serving up to 60 Office Works stores across three states (Vic, Tas and SA)I have also had up to 5 direct reports and been responsible for up to 250 staff.Key Accountabilities:• Responsible for financial, safety and service KPI performance to agreed targets.• Plan staffing requirements, control labour costs and approve the selection of staff.• Motivate and lead the operations team to achieve a high standard of performance, coaching and mentoring individuals and identifying their development needs.• Ensure the warehouse complies at all times with legislative requirements for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.• Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.• Identify the most effective route to market.• Control the movement of pallets (Chep and Loscam).• Develop and achieve quarterly and annual goals and objectives.• Supervise and coordinate the unloading of inbound merchandise shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and processing of outbound shipments.• Ability to manage a high level of skus (in 1000s) and loading over 400 pallets a day.• Planning, directing and managing approximately 35 employees• Participate in establishing work procedures• An experienced Logistics Manager with extensive operational, HR/IR experience
