I aim to support a holistic, Catholic education ensuring that the pastoral, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development of students progress through learning. Schools give extraordinary opportunities for students to develop as well rounded young people with a wide variety of experiences, which should be supported by staff. As teaching is not only limited to the classroom, embracing the opportunity to support and be involved in extracurricular activities and events is something that I see as necessary.Students have greater engagement to their learning when they feel connection to their school and their teachers. Educators should to aim to create and develop safe and positive working environments where students have constructive relationships with appropriate role models and learning mentors.Quality teachers who provide feedback, good instruction, a good class environment, differentiate the curriculum and provide appropriate and challenging goals for students will allow students to achieve the best educational outcomes. This combined with enthusiastic and adaptable teaching styles and a committed and hard-working attitude allows high quality learning programs in a safe and enjoyable learning environment to be developed. I am aware of the role that quality teachers have in educational development and I work hard to push my students to be involved in and achieve their best in all aspects of their schooling.
