•Evaluated thermal, vibrational and SolidWorks simulation testing results then recommended design/development improvements based on these findings.•Led an optical MTF study with extensive testing, identifying a solution that reduced MTF degradation by 11%, and designed a prototype to implement this solution into new products.•Pitched and executed a research and development study to produce a 3D printable beam dump with light absorption comparable to a commercial beam dump, but with greater cost efficiency, adaptability and ease of procurement.•Designed and conducted experiments then analyzed data to validate innovative concepts and presented comprehensive proposals to my department and senior staff on integrating these concepts into future designs.• Inspected defective assemblies from vendors and updated drawings with proper GD&T to improve manufacturing precision.•Trained incoming co-ops in departmental best practices and created detailed instruction packages to increase efficiency.

I am currently working to develop a test bed for the satellite with friction-free rotation about three axes. This involves:- Creating components suitable for 3D-printing using SolidWorks- Researching and ordering required parts- Assembling an air compressor

Using painting skills I developed the previous summer, I started my own painting company. On top of painting, this role involved:-Providing detailed time and cost estimates -Scheduling jobs-Providing detailed cost breakdowns-Helping customers choose the right type of paint-Proactively ordering equipment and paint Meticulous time management and planning, as well as constant communication with the customers was required to keep a fully scheduled summer running smoothly. Completing these painting jobs on my own presented many unique challenges that required quick thinking and unconventional problem solving.
