I graduated from Nottingham Trent in 2023 where I studied Geography, with a focus on sustainability and renewable energy. I have worked in hospitality during my time at university, I worked at Lloyds No Bar in Nottingham for 8 months this gave me lot of experience working with a range of customers, my memory skills were tested as had to learn how to make many different drinks quickly. I was often left in charge of the top bar for periods of time, this developed my leadership skills. During the summer of 2024 I worked at PGL, where I was an Activity Instructor. For this role I was trained on various activities that I was then able to deliver to groups of up 48 children. This developed my leadership and group management skills. I also worked as a team with the other staff in setting up the site as well as deriging at the end of the day which could take up to an hour. Then I work at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham as a cafe supervisor, as I realised that I was able and enjoyed leading groups of people from working at Lloyds Bar. For this role I was required to oversee the cafe and bar area during events such as concerts and ice hockey matches. This summer I worked on NCS as a Team Leader, being charge of a group of 16 year olds that were taken on a residential week, engoughting them to put themselves out of their comfort zones and motivating them to complete tasks. This developed my time management as I had deadlines to meet and shown that I can adapted to leading different groups of people, as well as my communications skills being enhanced as I was faced with some challenges that I had to relay to senior staff.
