My responsibilities in this role included researching not-for-profit grants that aligned with the organization and providing the organization with future grant recommendations, applying for numerous grants on behalf of the organization that provided necessary additional funding, developing and implementing a strategic communications campaign for a leadership camp (Co-operative Young Leaders) and developing a comprehensive strategic communications plan for the Co-operative Minds program including various completed tactics (Pinterest posts, Instagram ads, promotional videos, newsletter design and copy, brochures and event recommendations)My key achievement in this role was successfully applying for two $5,000 grants to help fund innovative projects that advance intercultural understanding in the co-operative sector and advance leadership opportunities for youth in Ontario.

My responsibilities in this role included researching, developing and implementing a strategic communications plan for alumni, creating, hosting and editing a podcast geared toward youth in the region, auditing current social media platforms and making recommendations for paths forward, assisting with brand development and communications planning for a new sister organization, managing social media pages and planning strategic content and managing a research project on social media monetization, influencer marketing and upcoming social media platforms and trends to make strategic recommendations to the organization.

My role was to assist the organization in running their annual Co-operative Young Leaders camp. My responsibilities included: registering participants and facilitators in an online data base, communicating frequently with stakeholders, helping produce and organize newsletters, preparing materials for facilitators and assisting in other administration and communication tasks. In addition, I was tasked with helping create the CYL Alumni group, and creating a communication plan to best suit their needs.
