The Sports Business Immersion Program at the Houston Astros gave me an 8-week long behind-the-scenes, hands-on experience of what it truly takes to run a ballpark. I spent my 8-weeks shadowing all the different departments the Houston Astros and Minute Maid Park had to offer. From completing multiple projects for the front staff to working the events at the ballpark to doing the little things on game day, I learned many skills required to work for a Major League Baseball team.

I learned how to work with a team on multiple different projects. I developed many leadership skills and learned how to manage different personalities. I also developed many skills that helped me multitask and manage my time. My day-to-day responsibilities included reconciling weekly AR reports, creating event marketing materials, and managing and maintaining the client database.
