Responsible for growing sales and managing customer relationships across the North Island.Role includes trade marketing for all accounts amd developing the business by managing the sales process.Market research to identify targets; cold calling to arrange initial sales visit; sales presentations; negotiating dealer agreement; closing the sale; and managing the account to ensure they reach contractual purchase target.Responsible for ongoing dealer product knowledge and sales training.There are 128 accounts nationwide. Of these, I manage 115 on a 6 weekly call cycle. Each sales call is to motivate dealers, and assist them with product promotional plans.An internal incentive program is built around stretch sales targets. Late 2012, this saw me travel to the SEMA Car Show in Las Vegas with the company.Marketing function consists of localising programs used in USA. Primarily this sees me assisting dealers with their promotional plans, and managing the distribution of standard and footpath signage around NZ.Office tasks include creating customer invoices using the accounting software Xero and chasing up payments where required.Bringing on new dealers has a long lead time, but I have signed more than 35 high-performing new accounts (including Ford & Mazda, Toyota and Honda)

Role included:Monitoring stock and customer orders.Facilitating the smooth running of a home office, including answering emails, phones and making sure the place is a clean, workable space.Assisting with sales, marketing and product selection.From 3-5pm responsibility shifted to looking after 3 school children, making sure homework was done and children fed.Running general errands and picking up supplies.

Liaising with overseas factories (China and Hong Kong) to ensure critical path was met for on-time delivery of each shipment. This included pre-production samples, production samples, and ex-factory of production to ensure vessel cut-off times were met.Tracking, receipting and measuring all garment samples received from factories.Inbound sales. Taking customer orders and despatching goods.Organising models for fittings and photo shoots.General office administration tasks including answering general emails and phones.Macjays approached the Institute of Fashion Technology requesting several candidates for this position. The Lecturer put me forward as the sole candidate and I secured the job.
