We perform perpetrator domestic violence assessments to identify potential risk factors, imminent danger, or threats posed by the individual responsible for causing harm to the non-offending partner and child(ren).As part of the assessment process, a screening for mental health and substance abuse is performed.This evidence-based assessment tool becomes necessary when there are concerns about an individual responsible for causing harm engaging in a pattern of coercive, controlling, abusive, or violent behaviors within an intimate partner relationship. The aim is to provide risk management plans to community providers, guiding them in the development and implementation of appropriate and timely interventions to address the identified risk factors associated with the individual responsible for causing harm. Also, we provide cognitive behavioral group intervention services for perpetrators of intimate partner violence. Our program teaches perpetrators skills and tools that promote nonviolent ways of communicating to support behavior change and personal accountability.
